Narni: A medieval town on a promontory of limestone from which it dominates the gorge crossed by the river Nera. This prime location in the past made it a strategic point for traffic between Rome and the Adriatic, proof of this are the remains of the Bridge Augustus built in the first century, an example of Roman engineering. Narni preserves numerous monuments of interest, including: the Church of Sant’Agostino built in the fifteenth century, the Church of Santa Maria Impensole built in the twelfth century, and the Church of San Domenico which hosted the court of the Inquisition, in this regard do not miss a visit to "Narni Underground". Right outside the town on a rocky ridge, stands the Fortress of Albornoz, a magnificent fortress built in the fourteenth century.
