The name Scacciadiavoli derives from an ancient village, situated near the estate, where in times gone by an exorcist once lived. The winery, built in the second half of' the 19th century (one of the oldest in the area) and recently restored, is functional and equipped with modern facilities. In the mid-twentieth century, the present owner's grandfather, Amilcare Pambuffetti, decided to acquire the winery which sits on 130 hectares, of which 35 are planted with vines.
For the tourist
The winery, dating back to the 19th century, is built on four levels and lies on the hill quite naturally. The vintner works on the highest level, where the initial stage of the processing of the grapes takes place. The whole production process takes place without the aid of pumps. Coming down floor by floor, the wine passes through successive stages of processing until reaching the basement where there are two barrels, built in 1909, enclosed between the walls of the winery. The winery has a large courtyard surrounded by walls that create the perfect venue for hosting small musical events and theatrical performances. For wine enthusiasts, the winery organises various tasting menus, where the wine is paired with typical local delicacies
