The smallholding where the Palazzone winery is located, was bought by the Dubini family in 1969 and already, by the following year, about 18 hectares of vineyard came to life. This vineyard expanded to 25 hectares by 1988, which was also the same year the winery was constructed. The company takes its name from the building, now restored, which was a place of refreshment and rest for pilgrims travelling to Rome for the jubilee.
For the tourist
The winery is located beside the Historic Residence Locanda Palazzone, a medieval residence located not far from Rocca Ripesena. Attention to every detail of the guests’ welcome is given, in order to create a relaxing stay. The comfortable and elegant suites, preserved in accordance with the original architectural features of the Palazzone, are equipped with all the necessary comforts to make your stay unique. Countless nature trails unravel from the "Path through the Wood”. The company often organizes events and guided tours within the property, which leads from the agritourism, to the discovery of artistic and natural treasures of Umbria.
